About Sharan

Sharan Tash at 2Listening has always been a struggle for Sharan. As the oldest daughter of 5 children, her listening skills were poor, but her ability to express herself verbally was quite remarkable. “To say she was stubborn is an understatement. We knew exactly what she wanted, when she wanted it, and how she wanted it” says her dad. Asking open ended questions and being inquisitive always served Sharan well. Now she works daily on honing the skill of listening and helping others with their daily struggles and possible solutions for her audiences

An eclectic work history ranges from fitness (as a junior lifeguard at the age of 12 and in 1992 owned and operated her in-home personal training company), to education (a substitute teacher at New Trier High School), to health (teaching first aid and CPR) to the dental industry (Concierge and Business Administrator for Waterford Pointe Dental Associates which she owned with her x-husband). Owning a successful “woman-owned” business was always her goal.

Her volunteering began in 6th grade when she was secretary of her class at Todd Hall in Lincolnwood, IL and expanded to the PTA Board, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, and Football coach, Board of Director for the Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, *Saferides adult volunteer, *Big Sister for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lake County, *Keshet Buddy Baseball volunteer, *Board of Director for NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) – Chicago, *Ambassador Chair for the Chicagoland Chamber, *Advisory Board member for the Women’s Leadership Exchange, and *Membership Chair for the NSA-IL Chapter (National Speakers Association). Sharan and family

As a single mom of four children, Sharan learned the value and skill of connecting at an early stage of her children’s lives. (Although her parents will say that she was networking since the day she was born.) Sharan connected with her children’s friends, their families and worked in the school system. Their family home was always open for her children’s friends to visit and Sharan always was available to help when help was needed and coach whatever team needed coaching. Three of her children are now college graduates working and living in Chicago, while her fourth son is attending Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
